The first huck is usually between 12:10 and 12:15 and we end when too many have left (usually by 1pm). .

It sounds like a short game, but we pack it full of action and keep down-time to a minimum (come and find out what a micro-game is). We play consistently year-round (we aren't affected by daylight savings time). The field is fairly close to the highway, so we get folks from as far away as RTP, NCSU, and SAS.

Directions

  • From Waverly Place, head south on Kildaire Farm Road, look for Resurrection Lutheran Church, turn right on Lochmere Drive, left at Ritter Park entrance, stay right until you see the second baseball field (sometimes we use the first field if the second isn't available).

  • From US 1, take exit 98A onto Tryon Road, take third right on Crescent Green (after Lucky 32), right again on Lochmere Drive, right again at Ritter Park, stay right until you see the second baseball field.

Equipment

Please bring a white shirt and a colored shirt so we can make the teams easily distinguishable.

Cancellation

If the weather is bad, an Email notice will be sent out around 10:30 a.m. We play unless the temp. is below freezing, the field has standing water, or it is raining. Make sure you get on the Email list ( ) so that you are aware of cancellations or location changes.
