Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash at all times...the rangers will issue citations if this isn't done.

Directions to fields: On I-40 between Raleigh and Chapel Hill, near the RDU airport, take exit 285 onto Aviation Parkway. Head south about 300 yards, and Lake Crabtree is the first left. If you go over the land bridge, you've gone too far. Parking for the fields is the first right, but DO NOT fill up the first parking lot. Overflow parking is about another 50 yards further where there is a second parking lot. Please try to carpool.

Call the parks office at 460-3390 to see if the floodplain field is open.
