A cool calm and collected veteran team fielded by Slate took it to Cinnamon in a 10 oclock game. Nathan and john Kitchens had excellent games and led Slate to a 4 point lead at half. Cinnamon played down one person as Wendy was kind enough to let us go 7 on 6 rather than 7 on 5 due to our lack women in the first half. Bright spots for Cinnamon were the play of co-captain Bradley N., newcomer James Murray and "Billy Mike", as well as the play of Xan Arch and Heidi who made it for the second half, and allowed us to go 7 on 7 as god intended. Slate continued to pull away after the break. They were up by 5 or 6 when Cinnamon made a run to pull within 4 at 14-10. I guess that just ticked Slate off, as they ran off three quick points to end it at 17-10.
