GOOD GRIEF!!!!! the game wasn't nearly as hard as submitting this damn report, that's for sure. (hint: do NOT hit the return key...ever) anyway....%$&*! it was cold. to stay warm, team sandy hartwiger played savage the entire game. our ranks had been destroyed by the tourney in athens, leaving us with 7 to fend off the fiendish stonewash blue. sandy hartwiger went up early to a 4-0 lead. with very few long points (quite an uncommon occurrence for winter league), sandy took half 9-3. after a very short half, playing resumed with stonewash blue going on a 3-point rampage to bring the score to 11-6. but that was all they could muster and team sandy hartwiger was fffffrrrreeeeeeezzziiiiiinnnnnggggg. we ended the game swiftly and painlessly with a score of 17-6. both teams played hard and well. there were some very nice throws by jp, perry and mark holt. john kim of sandy hartwiger layed out on nearly every point for both o and d....he's a supa-star! i got what i thought was a nice d on mark holt (having run across the entire width of the field to get a long pass); unfortunately it was about 10 ft out of bounds.....ho hum. maybe next time. special mention and kudos go out to allie and elizabeth of stonewash blue who also played savage the entire game!
