The wind came too early for the tough Denim squad (who will one day rule the world). In the mean time, Stonewash Green displayed their ability to handle, as the early season wind gusts did not bother them at all. Denim won the flip and pulled. Denim put their newborn zone on SWG and SWG meticulously marched down the field for a score, 1-0. SWG continued to catch and throw like a well-practiced Duke team--hey, that IS Duke's team! Somehow Duke's men's team has picked up 5 women and forged a not-too-conspicuous handling machine. Denim again played hard and made a good comeback in the 2nd half, but we were (all day) climbing out of a big hole against a team not prone to mistakes. Denim outpaced SWG's miscues 2-1 and had to settle for 2nd place this time, 13-9. Both teams played hard and seemed to be friendly to each other. My new pick for the team most likely to win a lot of games (besides us) is SWG.
