Both teams were hurt by the absence of key players, but Maroon more so... Ash jumped to a quick lead, going up 5-0 before Maroon found a way to get around Ash's hard-pressing zone defense. Maroon had its opportunities, as Ash was also prone to many errors and drops, but the half went heavily in favor of the light jerseys, 9-2. Ash tinkered a bit with their zone personnel and Maroon found ways to more patiently dismantle it, reeling off 2 and 3 points at a time. Without getting too flustered, Ash continued to play its zone and a good deal more man-to-man. At the end of the second half, both teams had scored 8 points, Maroon having done so first. But it was the total that mattered, and Ash was satisfied with its outing, though still unsure what exactly constituted the being called "Maroon." No players were injured in the course of this activity.
