Great heart and courage were shown by the Sandy Hartwigers today in overcoming a second half comeback attempt by Sun to hold on for the victory. After a one-sided first half, Sun scored two of the first three points in the second half in a comeback threat that was then squashed by 7 consecutive Sand points to end the game. What a nailbiter... Seriously, the Sun team showed great spirit and heart -- and humor -- playing without their captain, and without their own Sandy Hartwiger (thanks to Alan and Sandy for accepting our $50 bribe and heading off on a drinking binge to Georgia, or some such place). Sand was also playing without our captain, Becky, but we still had huge advantages in depth and experience, and rolled pretty easily through the game. Special kudos to Nat and Ashley, our women, who played Savage, and played great.
