Wow, what a game! Back and forth, up and down... In to overtime, up to the cap. Congrats to Cardinal on an excellent game played, and with great spirit. Except, I wish that guy would have stopped picking up the disc and handing it to me after their turnovers. Too nice - nixing our fastbreak dude. Cardinal was quite tall - Heidi, Safa, that tall guy Matt. And their short people seemed to run and run. They wore down the Royal Blue Streak. Cardinal, a team to be reckoned with. Way to go Royal Blue's 2 women for the game, Missy (who self-declaradly is at only 60% strength with her bumb knees) and Tammy, who played every single one of the 36 points of the game. Royal Blue, way to never give up and fight the good fight to the end!
After going down 4-9 at the half Cardinal (otherwise known as Crap-Stick) pulled even at 13-13 and eventually took the 16-13 lead. This lead was short lived due to the Royal Zone, who pulled even at 16-16. At this point it looked as though Cardinal might fold, but they stuck in there and pulled out the 19-17 victory in their first overtime game of the season. Everyone who played was amazing, but the game disc has to go to Safa and Matt for brilliantly defenting Augie and Making the big plays near the endzone.
