Today's game was a breath of fresh air after last weeks...ugliness. We were not with a full complement of players but those that were there played a nice mixture of patient offense and heads up defense. BJ was back with his wonderful brownies( he was absent the last game and I maintained that the absence of brownies were the cause for our teams poor showing), along with Diane's soothing and calming words. Everyone took their time and suveyed the field and for the most part took the easy shot. Of note was the great handling of Zirk, helping Andy in telling him where to go for a beautiful crossfield score, nice defense by one of our newer players, John. Good mark! Mary and Nancy were open all day and made good grabs. Not to mention Jenny who caught a difficult catch on the sideline. Good for you! Brian Dobbins was as usual showing us his pinpoint accuracy, and I ran around a little bit. Of particular note was the "boxing out of Mike" by Diane to attempt a no Kelly brother point, but alas, Andy beguiled Curtis in the end to snatch up game point. There was a huck by one Kelly brother that tavelled the full length of the field, but I cannot remember who threw it or whether it was caught or not. Im sure some of my team can help me out with the details! I think we won 17-8, but it was a nice showing. Mike
i believe the score was 17-6 but, i am not 100% sure. I am sure that there were at least 2 kelly brother connections but, alas only 50% of them completed. I also do not remember who ran and who threw...but is that really important. Excellent work gold. Way to rebound from last week. ( its gotta be the brownies)
Big shout out and ponds of respect for Gary special sauce who brought out the beer!
