it was a bright and windy day. the sun was shining, and brigitte was wandering the sidelines aimlessly, bundled up like someone on an arctic expedition. sandy hartwiger had a good sized roster (shocker!), but denim was down a few and picked up a couple guys. The game started out pretty evenly, trading downwind points until 4s. that's when sandy started to put some points between the teams and was able to score 3 in a row. although denim seemed to be able to work sandy's zone, they were having trouble holding on to the disc and sandy took half at 9-5. when the second half resumed denim scored a quick goal and at 12-6, gave sandy a scare by scoring 3 in a row. but then sandy decided to take it home and scored 5 of the last 6 points to end the game 17-10. **call of the game**: 'he only called a foul because you said he was out of bounds.' ok, that seems fair.(?) [sorry daran, i had to get a dig in.....NOW who's being too competitive? the truth is out.....YOU like to win too! Don't be ashamed, EMBRACE your competitiveness. ;) ] good game denim, it was fun. kudos to leigh and katy of denim who played the entire game savage!
the aforementioned **call of the game** was meant purely in jest and was just smack talk between me and daran (it was alluding to a foul call for which neither of us were within 40 yds, so we could not have POSSIBLY known what happened or why the call was made). i did not mean for the comment to in any way suggest that denim cheated or played with anything but the utmost reverence for the spirit of the game. quite the opposite. denim played a great, clean game and it was a pleasure to play them.
