Winter League TOURNAMENT DATE CHANGE to FEB.25-26,2012!!!

Hear ye, hear ye!  We are making a CHANGE to the schedule for Winter League, specifically for the TOURNAMENT WEEKEND!

 
The league is being extended by 1 week & the NEW tournament dates are FEBRUARY 25-26, 2012!!!  Hopefully, this does not cause major negative impacts to anyone who has already registered.  If it does & you need to cancel, let me know & I will process your full refund & registration cancellation.  For the majority, this should just add an extra weekend of fun Winter League ultimate!!

10% Winter League Discount for 2012 USA Ultimate Members

Anyone may claim a 10% USAU membership discount on Winter League registration, as long as you are committing to RENEW your USAU membership for 2012 in DECEMBER.


Apologies for the confusion on this point.  Winter League will be considered a 2012 event by USA Ultimate (not 2011). If you have any plans to play in a USA Ultimate event (youth, college or club) in 2012, then you might as well renew at the earliest possible time (Dec. 2011) & get a discount on this league!


USAU will verify all 2012 memberships in December to assess the amount that TFDA owes.  If you claim the USAU discount/coupon when you register WL, then your 2012 USAU membership must be current (i.e. dues paid) by mid-December, or you will not be able to play until you pay back the $7.90 discount.

Be a Winter League captain!

To make this 24th edition of Triangle Winter League a smashing success, we need the assistance of 20-24 team captains. Players can captain a team individually or in pairs.  

 
What does being a "captain" require?
 
The primary responsibility will be to attend the draft party (pizza provided) on Thurs, Nov.3rd at Carolina Outreach (2670 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd in Durham).  Then the only other requirements are weekly communication with team members (to ensure sufficient numbers), finding pickup players (when needed), and distribution of jerseys & discs to your team.  Being a captain is a GREAT way to make sure that you get to play with a fantastic group of players/friends &/or to get to know some cool new people.  
 
If you enjoy ultimate & want to give back by helping us make this league a success, please indicate YES during your registration to the question about willingness to captain and/or to let us know.  If you have already registered & did not answer YES to the captain question, please consider emailing us to let us know that you'd like to captain after all!
