2011 Post Turkey Day Hat

Our annual 1-day hat tournament returns on Nov.25, so you can run off your Thanksgiving bounty!

This is the 2011 edition of the annual Friday-after-Thanksgiving mixed gender (coed) hat tournament. The commissioner(s) will form &  announce teams & field location a day or so before the event.

 

** In order to maximize playing time (value) for everyone, we only have room for  up to 102 players (6 teams of 17  players per team), rather than the 120 that we'd hoped for (20 players per team).  Our apologies to those that wanted to play but didn't register in time, but It's ok, we'll do it again New Year's!

Information

*** NOTE:  No food or even water (necessarily) will be provided, so please be SURE to bring enough to keep you going the whole time.  If you don't mind, pack a little extra in case you have a teammate that's not so astute.  

BRING PLENTY OF WATER!! (Sports drinks are even better!)

When:

Friday, November 25, 2011 from 9:30am to 4pm.

Register by Wed., Nov. 23 (No on-site/same day participation if you have not registered online.)  

Where: 

Either Davis Drive or Cedar Fork (to be determined a day or so before the event)

Who:

102 players on 6 teams (17 players per team). Players of any gender, ethnicity, philosophy, shape, size, height, or age (that is comfortable competing against full-sized adult athletes; suggested minimum is 13 yrs old) are welcome to play!

** The on-field gender ratio will depend on final female participation; we are hoping for 5/2 or 4/3, offense dictates.

Cost:

$18 for 4-6 games (depending on final format & team performance).

As always, TFDA members get a 10% discount & full-time student members get a 20% discount! If your membership has recently expired (or simply never started), then you can add a membership at checkout to save on all TFDA events for the next year!

** TFDA members pay only $16.20 (student members only $14.40).

Details:

To achieve on-paper parity, we will use a rating system to attempt an even distribution of players across skill & experience levels.

Participants will be contacted on Thanksgiving Thursday (the day before the event), via email, about what team they will play with, which color shirt(s) to bring, where we'll be playing, and details of the format &/or any special rules.
